My Cause My Cleats
In its 3rd year of existence the NFL program "My Cause My Cleats" gives players the opportunity to personally design cleats for a charity of their wish. In 2018 an estimated 800 players participated in "My Cause My Cleats", raising money for numerous charities world wide.
One of those players was our very own Dymonte Thomas, who chose to bring awareness to the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation. CHARGE syndrome occurs in approximately 1 in 8,500 to 10,000 newborns. Bringing awareness to these rare cases was priority for Dymonte once he learned about the opportunity to be a part of "My Cause My Cleats."
Here at the Dymonte Thomas Community Foundation, we have a special friend named Cash Davis. He is battling this rare disease but he does not let this break his spirits!
Thanks to the inspiration from Cash, these cleats were able to raise $1,963.00. With all proceeds being donated to the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation. We want to thank everyone that participated by helping us spread the word, support the mission, and bidding on the cleats.
Be on the look out for more information on our first major event, another online auction with a number of various items that will support our friend, Cash. We plan to help raise money to assist in purchasing a service dog for Cash.
Thank you for your support and for helping us to be "More Than Football"!
